Policies & Restrictions for our Enjoyment, Safety & Security

Please enjoy!

In the words of Bobby McFerrin, "Don't worry, be happy!" You are attending a cultural arts event featuring internationally acclaimed GRAMMY-winning and Blues Award-winning musicians, as well as world-class local and regional musicians and 'up-and-coming' student musicians.  Turn off your cell phone and stroll around with your date or friend.  Look at all the fine art and crafts and buy something beautiful.  Taste and sample some lovely wines.  Sit in the sun or shade and enjoy a meal.  Check out our participating sponsors and exhibitors, see all the cool things they have to offer.  Have a GREAT time!  Above all else - be nice to your neighbors...be respectful of other people...thank our volunteers...and be kind - it will echo back to you.

Seating
Seating is General Admission.  Seating is grass seating or on blankets.  Chairs: only low-back lawn chairs or sand chairs are permitted.  Please do not bring tall lawn chairs because people behind you want to see too!  If you bring a tall lawn chair, you must be seated to the far left or far right of the stage – not in the center.  Please be respectful of other people. The Festival does not provide chairs.  There is no reserved seating.  Do NOT take or remove a folding chair from a VIP area, or any area of the park—these are FESTIVAL chairs.  Please pay attention to any signs which may indicate designated seating such as “blanket” or “chair” or “handicap” etc.  Esther Short Park is owned by the City of Vancouver and is ADA compliant according to the City of Vancouver.  The park is handicap accessible for wheelchairs and walkers, according to the City of Vancouver.
